Tres Amigos

Tres Amigos (wip), acrylic and collage, 18 x 24

Almost done--needs tweaking here and there.

Yesterday was a very productive day. I did get started on those yellow m & ms, and I hope, despite all the rain we've been having that the painting is dry enough to begin working on the next layer. I'm working in oils on a wood panel for that one.

Yep Elizabeth...these are my favorites so far...I love the different directions the beaks take you...it's like a bouncing ball, and you get to see it all, and then bounce around again. FUN!!

These guys look like a trio of troublemakers. I really love the unique subject and the poses really capture those personalities!

They are so adorable, the three friends. I like the perspective that you chose.

A very amusing trio, and the way they are all crowded into the picture seems like very ostrich-like behavior. Great title, too.

I've groups of ostriches referred to as 'flocks and as 'herds'. (another odd fact: the species name translates to 'camel sparrow')
