Sorry, Friends. It has been so long since my last post-- I almost forgot how to sign in. Tomorrow I will deliver my show to be ready to go up in the gallery this week. For once in my life, I was able to approach the deadline for a project with some decorum. I had gotten most of the work done on the paintings before I went away in July, so August was spent framing.....and framing.................and framing. And taking care of all the other details one must to adequately publicize and polish a show.
I also painted a few new things (including the above) with the result that I have 41 pieces ready to hang of various sizes from 5 x 5 to 30 x 38. I've posted most of them here at one time or another, and I certainly looked at them a lot while I painted and framed them, but I am interested to see how they hang together. I've kept them facing the wall when I'm not actually working on them, so I can focus on the task at hand, but also to keep the work fresh before I see it all on the walls.
Meantime, I have no new work for my studio! I have also been finishing up a few pieces left to sit while I worked on the show so that I may change things around a bit. Four paintings are going to Art at the Mill for September/October, and two went up to Torpedo Factory for the same time frame. More about that later.
I look forward to getting back to my routine of blogging three or four times a week. I missed y'all!

Hi, Elizbeth. Love this piece and sure wish I could see your show. I just began doing collage as a result of a workshop with Gerald Brommer. I like the results you achieved here!
