Coffee Break, acrylic/collage, 18 x 24
Birds take them, too, you know. They might even smoke, although these didn't seem inclined to do so while I was painting. It's in their contract that they get to take time off from singing songs, digging for bugs and hopping charmingly from branch to branch. Being charming eight hours a day is exhausting.

Oh Elizabeth...what a visual you gave me; both visually and mentally! I'm laughing! Thank you!! Love those colors!!
my friend lindsay really likes a print that you did! it's on purple paper (which looks like paper you made yourself) and it's a white print of a cardinal or something. I don't really remember when you gave it to me, but she really enjoys it, and was wondering whether you make t-shirts.
That is so sweet Elizabeth! What a beautiful thought and the colors. You are so creative..! I love your work!

I never thought about the plight of those poor, overworked birds! I love the collage, and purple and green remains one of my favorite color combos so you already had a winner in my eyes.
Too funny! Love the collage and ode to those poor little laborers.
Hi, Saundra. Thanks so much. I do chuckle while I work--I love my job!
Hey, Will! I will chat with you and Lindsey about a t-shirt. It is definitely do-able. Thanks for reading my blog, sweetie!
Megha, I always appreciate your nice comments. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, Ariel. Yes, I think we always need to think of our smaller, feathered friends who labor all day with little or no notice from the giants who stomp the earth with them.
Kerri, thanks for your comment and for responding to my silliness!
