Umbrella Triptych 1 (working title), WIP, acrylic/printmaking, 6 x 18
by Elizabeth W. Seaver
I did what I said I would do. I learned to use my camera to take photos of my work, at least at the most basic level. This painting is on the turquoise canvas which you saw here. I turned it to the horizontal, rather than the vertical, and even though I had thought trees the canvas was thinking not.
This is part of another triptych. I'll show another one on the morrow. Thanks for all the support while I struggled with my learning curve. (And it gave me someone to whom I was accountable so I would actually do what I said I would do.)
Cheers everyone, and welcome to my new followers! Thanks for joining.

Elizabeth, I am just fascinated with this new thing you are tackling! LOVE IT! SOOOO creative! and, very well done!! Looking forward to more! And kudos to you for letting it be what it wanted to be. I'm sure it's happier and so are you...kinda like our relationship with our kids, huh?? :)
It is so easy to keep using what you know rather than taking the time to learn what is new, even though it is good for us. Thanks for the happy words, E.
As always, Saundra, it is so nice to have you in my corner!
Woo-Hoo! The result looks like you've got it. Again...I love your swirls! They work so well a waves. Isn't it interesting how you can have one idea and then the paint and canvas take over? Like the long horizontal of this. Really nice work!
Thanks, Gwen. Your enthusiasm is terrific!
Lovely work. I like the swirls and the choice of colors.
Well done!
Thanks, Ross. Swirls are my favorite. I appreciate your stopping by!

Have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by, Linda. I certainly enjoy your work and appreciate your comments.
Great photo! It helps to have a good piece and this one is a good for sure! I also like the repeated swirl...!
One of my new favorites, Elizabeth. Especially with the cold weather coming back, I can envision myself having the need of one of those umbrellas while I bask on the beach SOMEWHERE! Just lovely all around.
Elizabeth - I love the repeated spirals too.. it feels very Celtic to me.. when I was in Wales and Ireland and England a few years ago I was delighted to find spirals on the stones.. I really like the colors in this too..

I found your blog via the comment you left on mine, thank you! I have been browsing all through your posts and love the work! AND this one is my favorite! Funny how sometimes what we start ends up so different then where we thought it was heading!!
Thanks for coming to visit, Karen. I loved seeing your work in fiber.
