Finally, An Update

It has taken me such energy to live my life over the last couple of months, that I haven't had any stuff left to write about it.  So, with a little rest under my belt, and a renewed intention to blog, I've decided to do a top ten list of the happenings in my life over the last little while.  First, personal ones:

  1. Son graduates!
  2. Family arrives from Texas for a week to see son graduate.
  3. Son graduates with honors.
  4. Graduate son is such a pleasure to be around.
  5. August 24th is target date for graduate to move to new life on campus.

 The brothers at dinner beforehand.

 Professional top five:

  1. I'm happy with the new work I've been creating.
  2. I love my new work space.
  3. My students come to create with such joy and excitement.
  4. My summer camps filled.
  5. The following piece is in a show called Liberty in the main gallery at LibertyTown this month.

Hungry No More, mixed media, 18 x 36

Peace and Happy 4th everyone!

"Hungry No More" is such a cool piece. I wish I could see it in person. It's size must make it even more impressive. Congrats on surviving and even enjoying the graduation season. I know you must be proud.

Hi, Vicki:

Yes, busy with family events and busy painting, but not busy blogging. Hope to be better coming up here!

I'll do that, Anna!

I'm glad you like Hungry No More, Don. I'm not happy with the photo and plan to retake it after the show comes down.

Hi, Cathyann. I love your new photo. You change up more than anyone I know! I'll be by to visit your blog soon. I'm running with my tongue hanging out, as they say.

Your son rocks! I hope that I can see him perform again soon--he makes me so happy when he does.

As for you and your art, well, what can I say except that it has been a real pleasure watching your paintings emerge--different styles, themes, play of dark and light. You are a true talent and I am glad you have the "space" now to venture into even more creativity.
