This is painted on 1.5" canvas, so the painting continues on sides, top and bottom. I've really enjoyed painting on those canvases recently--a nice change from framing.
Back soon,
Elizabeth

I love your colors in this. Personally, I think they're just close enough...
Is your collage on the sides also, or just the paint? I'll bet it looks really cool either way.

Oh wow - the colors and textures in this are amazing!
Congratulations on your son's graduation :)

I happen to be a big fan of beets, but these are really wonderful!
You're killin' me here! Love it.
(It's SO good to have you back out here. I've missed you!)
I love this!!! The colors, the subject, the composition - everything. Very creative!!
Hi Don--Thanks. Yes, the collage is on the sides, as well. I think I used foil on this one, but sometimes it is paper. I wish I could take better side view photos so that I could show the edges.
Hi Kristin:
I'm glad you like the textures. I layered some foil on the canvas so that I could get some cool ripples and could scratch in the surface and leave my mark!
It's so nice to be out of high school, let me tell you!
Well, CTanner, you will get your wish when I upload the painting I'm working on now. It is 24 x 24, and relentlessly beet-y!
Thanks for visiting.
Hey, Anna:

Hi, Linda! Thanks for your enthusiasm. I've enjoyed being on to a new series. I'll be showing more soon.
Des couleurs subliment qui dansent bien ensemble une sorte de collé-serré... Très jolie peinture...
Gros bisous.
Love them! The colours, the textures. As for the closeness- depends on who..
Hey, Elizabeth. Welcome back. Like everyone else, I have missed you. First, congrats on your grad. Big accomplishment, and with honors yet! Wow!
Love your beet painting! The colors are wonderful, and I love the "shines" on the beets even though they are underground. They are truly a mysterious vegetable! Excellent job!
