Hot and Hazy

It's March!  I feel the approaching spring in the breezy, warmish day.  Blow leonine winds, blow---I think I'm going to make it to summer.

And in honor of the typical beach day on the Texas Gulf Coast, I give you Hot and Hazy.

Hot and Hazy, acrylic, 36 x 18, by Elizabeth W. Seaver

Welcome newcomers to my site.  I hope everyone some time to make art today!

Just the way it looks after laying in the sun with your eyes closed...you open them up and everything is orange! Love it. :)

Saundra, thanks for coming by. Yes, you have more reason than I to be ready for the sun!

Hey, Anna, you got it! That's the feeling I was going for. Good to see you today!

I am loving your umbie series (I had a British friend who called umbrellas "umbies"--cute word, no?)
This one is very sunny!

Hi, Celeste. I do like the words umbie and brolly (ie?) They are suitably fun short cuts for their source, um-brella-ella-ella!

I'd better put on my sandals to walk on that beach or my tootsies will be toasted! Fun, warm, great painting to bring in March :)

You got that right. The term "hot-footing it" MUST have been created on a noontime Gulf Coast beach walk!

Thanks for visiting, Rhonda!

Hi, Martha! Welcome. I have so enjoyed your blogs about your own work and Lisbeth's. I'm glad you like my hazy brolly!

Hi Elizabeth, thanks so much for your reciprocal follow last week!

I love your hot & hazy - gorgeous colors! We're far from it here in CT, but it got above 40, so it still felt like spring. Have a great week!

Hi, Susan. I'm glad you like the Hot and Hazy colors. I appreciate the comment!

I saw a forecast for 53 for Saturday, and I am jumping for joy.
