I'm not sure whether you'll be able to tell, but I did add collage to the egrets and repainted them. I think I have achieved my goal of making them more prominent in the composition without diminishing the impact of their friend.
I'm hoping to make art today. I'm needing to get some writing done for the board I sit on before my parents get here!! Bless them for making the effort to come visit--we're excited--and finally ready.
On the subject of family and Mothers' Day....I had the best one maybe ever. My 20 year old son brought me flowers and a mushy card on Sunday, and then took me out to dinner last night! My younger son gave me beautiful washi earrings folded like butterflies, and my husband cooked a delicious dinner and brought me orange and yellow tulips. Life is good!
I sold a painting at Art at the Mill! And guess what? It was a bird!

Its so cool to be able to page down and compare the first "finished" elephant and egrets to the final finished product. I can definitely see the change. WONDERFUL! Yay Elizabeth! Congratulations on the sale. :)
Hey, Anna--Thanks for being in my cheering section, as I hope you know I am in yours!
The picture looks wonderful now Elizabeth. The birds are definitely more prominent than they are in the previous photo. Congrats on selling a bird picture too.
You had a wonderful Mother's Day by the sound of it. What a lovely family to pamper you so.
Oh Elizabeth it's so beautiful! Congrats on your sale and wonderful mother's day.
I don't see the difference, but never mind, it looks great anyway.
Looks great to me
Congratulations and have a wonderful visit! The painting/collage is looking great.
i love this one. it's so beautiful.
Indeed a good idea to make your egrets more prominent. They (and their friend) look beautiful.
Very cool. I really like the addition of the yellow on the finished piece as well.
Hey congrats on the sale! And I'm happy you had a great Mother's Day...very cool. Yes, I can tell the difference in this painting too. I like it!
