Thank you to those of you who have sent me kind emails wondering whether I was okay and saying nice things about my blog. I appreciate your attentions.
It has been a bit of a struggle, creatively, for the last few months. I feel like I've broken through the barrier, though, and I really want to get back to writing and showing my art and visiting your blogs, too.
Enough said...the above are a couple of pieces which were vehicles for overcoming my dry spell, by allowing me to work with color, pattern and masking.
My plan is to have a story for next time...
I love Parasol. :) AND I am so glad to see you back! I've missed you! See you Friday????????
Well, your dry spell did you well. This is vibrant and full of energy. Sometimes for whatever reason we feel burned out and lose our enthusiasm. I think you just need to go with it although I'm sure that's frustrating and tough in itself. But glad to "hear" your voice and see such gorgeous work emerge ; )
Hi Elizabeth! I missed you. Glad you are back with more enthusiasm and creativity than ever :) Love these paintings. The first one reminds me of NYC. Have a great day!
I missed you, too; funny, I just stopped by here yesterday and noticed how long it had been since you've posted. The new work is very exciting; yay for you and hope to see you soon.
I'm glad you're back. I've been looking for you for a while and have missed your wit and talent.
Yay, Elizabeth! You're back with a BANG! I love both of these pieces. The rich color and wonderful patterns draw me in and keep me riveted. Your time off seems to be bringing you back refreshed and revitalized. I look forward to seeing more...
Both of these paintings are bubbling over with personality and creativity. Love them!
Hey, must be something in the air. I've been in a 4 month slump and am hearing from so many others in the same boat. Something tells me there is about to be a big bang of creativity on the blogs following all of this dormancy!
hello elizabeth welcome back we missed your beautiful work!
SO glad to have you back Elizabeth! I've thought of you a million times...hope this beginning is a good one for you...FUN COLORS!...Looking forward to MORE!
Elizabeth! How great to have you back! I have greatly missed your humor and wonderful creativity. You have always been a bright spot in my day. Judging by the brilliance and energy of these two paintings, you are back in the groove. Love the colors and patterns within patterns.
Great to see you back Elizabeth. Good to know you are ok and are working on new things....sometimes those struggles as we work on breaking a barrier can take a lot out of us. Welcome back. More lovely work! Yay!

Bless you all for your response. I have missed each of you as well, and plan to stay more in touch.
Onward and upward!
I'm so ridiculously behind on keeping up with my favorite art blogs, so as I was looking at everything I've missed this really caught my eye. Such beautiful colors!
