Interview

I have been invited to exhibit my work next month at The Fine Arts Company in Hagerstown, Maryland. The kind folks there made up interesting interview questions for a post on their blog, and I was a good girl and answered them all. Sit down with a hot cuppa something-you-like and click this link: Interview with Elizabeth Seaver.

Of course, if you happen to be in the area, come meet the artist the second Saturday in January, the 10th, from 6-8. Company....I want company! The show will be a mixture of cats and birds, bright and cheerful, no matter the weather and guaranteed to keep you awake!

Here are a few of the likely suspects to be on display:

No Fly Zone2, 18 x 36, collage/acrylic

While You're Away, 36 x 48, acrylic and paper

His Friends Were Orchids, 24 x 36, acrylic and paper

I'm So Fine, 24 x 36, acrylic and paper

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa. May you enjoy the gifts of the season.

March 150 Panel at the Torpedo Factory

Spring!, acrylic/printmaking, 10 x 10, Elizabeth W. Seaver

This panel will be up at the Torpedo Factory's Target Gallery for March9-17, 2013, as a joint fund raiser for the March of Dimes and outreach projects spearheaded by the Gallery. Read about it here.

Lots of fabulous artists donate to this event, and this Friday, March 15, the night of the big party ($15 admission) the works are only $100 each, rather than $150. All panels are 10 x 10. Go if you can, it'll be a blast. I hope to see you there!

Thomas on a High Wire 28/30

Thomas on a High Wire, collage/acrylic, 6 x 6
Elizabeth W. Seaver

Life is hectic this morning, and I don't have time to to interview Thomas to find out his story. Will you please do it for me?

Leave me a comment and tell me one thing about Thomas that I do not know. Right now, he's a blank slate.

Thank you for reading and following my blog, everyone. I appreciate you more than I can express.

Art at the Mill

Mallard, oil, 8 x 10

Lily Blossoms, oil, 8 x 10

Hibiscus Blossoms, oil, 24 x 30

Today I am going to the northwest corner of Virginia to deliver this artwork that was accepted into the spring show at the mill in Millwood. It is a beautiful drive, and the little hamlet of Millwood is just charming. The Clarke Co. Historical Association is the sponsor, and the two art shows per year, spring and fall, raise money to help support the upkeep of the mill.

The very best part of it is that I get to go with a good friend, so there will be lots of talk about art and life on the way!

Sample of Today's Work

Here are a few of the pieces I worked on today. Most are still in process. Some are destined to be pins, others will be pendants and still others plaques to hang on the wall. Sales have been good, so I need to work hard to have new things and plenty for LibertyTown's Holiday Open House this Saturday. More later...gotta paint!
