More on Giraffe

First layer

Next layer

I got brave and just jumped in this morning working on the giraffe. I got to my studio at 7:15 and in the quiet, I could work and cuss and take deep breaths and talk to myself...that's a good thing! Here is the result. Understand it still is a ways from being finished, and the photos are not all that great.

By the way, have I said this is 24 x 36? That's a big painting for me.

Working and cussing is good, I work best early morning till noon and than after 5 PM. Don't know why but afternoon is not a productive time for me. And your piece is coming along great!

It is looking really good Elizabeth. That is certainly a big painting. I would love to get into drawing first thing in the morning but I have to check things on the computer and then do the jigzone puzzle etc etc, and then finally I get started about 5pm.

I am amazed at what can happen when you spend "alone-time" with painting. I love it?
